Course Description

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). Click "Learning Objectives" to see more information --->

Learning Objectives

High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
Important early use of an AED
Effective ventilation using a barrier device
Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Who should take this course? The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Course Requirement:

Complete all online modules
Complete the cognitive exam
Finish the course in full
Bring your HeartCode completion certificate

Course Information:

Course timings are either 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Morning Session) or 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Afternoon Session). Timings remain the same during Ramadan.
Participants must arrive 15 minutes before the course begins.
Enrollments will be confirmed within 24–48 hours, during which participants will receive a course confirmation email.
A reminder email will also be sent prior to the course date.
Complete course details will be provided in the confirmation email.
This course does not offer any CME hours.
