Course Description

The Neonatal Resuscitation Program® (NRP®) course conveys an evidence-based approach to care of the newborn at birth and facilitates effective team-based care for healthcare professionals who care for newborns at the time of delivery. NRP utilizes a blended learning approach, which includes online testing and hands-on case-based simulation/debriefing that focus on critical leadership, communication, and team-work skills. Learning Objectives

Mission: To develop and disseminate evidence-based neonatal resuscitation education

Vision: To improve neonatal health by having an expert provider at every birth and an expert team at every resuscitation

REQUIREMENTS (mandatory for admittance)

Completion Certificate of NRP Online Exam (Further instructions will be sent by us once enrollment is confirmed).
NRP Provider Manual (8th/9th Edition)

Course Information:

Course timings are either 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Morning Session) or 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Afternoon Session). Timings remain the same during Ramadan.
Participants must arrive 15 minutes before the course begins.
Enrollments will be confirmed within 24–48 hours, during which participants will receive a course confirmation email.
A reminder email will also be sent prior to the course date.
Complete course details will be provided in the confirmation email.
Affiliated by American Heart Association (AHA). Completion certificate is valid for 2 years.
This course does not offer any CME hours.

Day 1

Welcome, introductions, administrative housekeeping as needed (eg, continuing education credit, confidentiality agreement, post-course expectations).

08:05 - 08:10

How the course works and expectations for successful course completion; discuss ground rules and confidentiality.

08:10 - 08:20

Instructors demonstrate a simulation scenario (beginning with 4 pre-birth questions and ending after PPV) and debriefing.

08:20 - 08:30

Teams report to their learning station or skills station where they will orient to the setting, locate supplies and equipment, and learn how the manikin’s vital signs are conveyed.
